December is upon
us and that means one thing – holiday party season. Which also means you need
something festive to wear to all of these gatherings. Well, look no further. If
you are in the market for a new frock, here are my favs.
When putting this
post together, I really looked for dresses that could be worn to work and then
after. Or vice versa – bought for a party, but still able to get more wear out
of it from 9-5.
I like this first
pair of green dresses from Old
Navy. They are festive, fun and cost effective. Old Navy always has crazy
sales – last time I went, they were basically giving things away!
This Parker
dress may be a bit too sexy for work, but if you have a laid back office like
mine, you could pair it with some leggings (just to make sure your bum is
covered if you bend over!). What I like about this dress is that you can wear
it all year round – in the summer with some strappy sandals and in the winter
with tights.
I consider a LRD
(Little Red Dress) a must have for ladies. It’s colorful, sexy, bold and
festive!
This Asos
shift is super cute and can be worn in February too for Valentine’s Day!
I LOVE this red
dress from Modcloth.
It’s basically a TopShop knock off – which is most likely a knock off of
another designer. Gotta love a knockoff of a knockoff. Anyways, it says that it
is out of stock, but you can have ModCloth notify you when its back!
This last dress is
totally affordable form Piperlime!
It’s very similar to the dress from Modcloth, but its available!
If the red and
green frocks are too bold for you, how about some silver and gold.
So I have to
confess something…Anthro
and I have been “taking a break.” I just haven’t been loving much in the store.
They’ve raised prices on some apparel items and I just haven’t had that same
excitement as I used to. I like this
This silver Shoshanna
frock from Neiman Marcus has a bit of glitz, but I feel that you can wear it to
work with a black blazer. Shoshanna dresses are a bit pricy, but do tend to go
on sale. They are also amazing for busty gals.
Again, this J.
Crew dress is extremely wearable for parties, work and other situations
when you need to be a little more dressy.
